This album is the result of close collaboration with a small Italian artisan laboratory specialising in restoration of antique books and small scale production of wedding albums. The laboratory is located in the province of Verona, very close to the Lago di Garda lake. The items that are made there are guaranteed to have passed an exclusive leather type selection process. The leather is then prepared and treated employing only natural vegetable tanning processes.
The products used are totally natural, such as pieces of bark, animal fats or fish oils, and provide the characteristic look and smell of natural leather, apparent in the faint wrinkles that usually form in natural leather which ages and increases in beauty as time goes by.

The harmony of the one hundred percent natural forms and colours, the taste of the details and careful and meticulous artisan creation are evidence of the passion and professionalism of a highly qualified working team. To guarantee its high quality, the laboratory is supplied solely with hides and leathers from the “Vera Pelle Italiana Conciata al Vegetale” Consortium.

The vegetable tanning technique is an ancient art which has been passed down from one generation to the next, particularly in the Italian region of Tuscany. This type of leather is made with vegetable tannins which are found in mimosa, chestnut, oak, holm oak and cork oak woods. Animal fats and fish oils are used for elaboration of oiled leathers. It is a very slow process that respects the natural aging rhythms of the natural products, without adding any chemical products.
